Which mobile to buy?

In continuation with my previous post - http://buymobilephonesindia.blogspot.com/2011/09/which-android-mobile-to-buy_23.html, after the bad experience with samsung, I had made a conscious decision not buy another samsung mobile. I also didn't want to buy a htc mobile because, one of my friend in bangalore had a bad experience in getting his htc mobile serviced and also found that they don't have many service centres. My selection of a mobile phone has started with choice of elimination.... And to top it all, I also rejected Nokia, simply for the reason that it doesn't come with a android OS.... So, now I'm left with only a few models - Motorola, Sony Ericsson, LG, Micromax and Karbonn..... 

I was looking for a value for money android phone. Surfing through the net, I decided that I'll buy Motorola Charm. At first sight, I thought it resembled an old blackberry model. But the features that the mobile offered was good enough for me. I went to a showroom and was about to buy that. Then came the twist in the tale. The salesman in the shop showed me one of the latest offerings from Sony in the mid-budget segment, Xperia Mini pro with a price tag of around Rs 15,000 and I got a first hand experience in the shop.

Eventhough, Xperia mini pro is a little bulkier(as it has a qwerty key pad), with a camera of 5MP, the experience was amazing, which more or less convinced me that this had to be best android mobile available for that price tag. Then I said to myself, let me not be in a hurry to buy a phone now. I decided to surf for some better models before finally buying one

Problems with samsung corby pro

I was using a samsung corby pro mobile for the past 1 year. The mobile was very kind to me till I dropped it once.... From then on, my samsung din like me at all..... started giving all weird problems - touch not working, automatically getting switched off, camera mode getting switched on and what not!!! Fortunately the phone was under warranty during that time that I could go to the service centre and get it rectified, though I was made to wait for 3 weeks.... Finally I got my phone and I thought normalcy was restored and everything wud be fine.... But all of a sudden, it again started giving the same weird problems. This time, everything happened jus like that... I had just finished attending a call..... Nothing more and nothing less..... just finished attending a call and everything went for a toss.... Unfortunately I was in a 3 week training program in Gurgaon... After a long struggle, i managed to find out a service centre and on reaching there, I was not in a position to agree with the terms and conditions of the service centre, so brought my phone back, thinking that I wud buy a new mobile..... From then on, I've been exploring different models that I can buy. But I've made a conscious decision not buy another samsung model.
